The Jersey City Parking Authority plays a vital role in the provision of services that our city offers its residents.   As a regulatory agency, the JCPA serves to insure that our residents and visitors alike have ample parking available daily to work, shop, visit and connect with the excellent public transportation in Jersey City.

Through the creation and regulation of parking, the JCPA essentially contributes to the quality of  life of residents and the success of local merchants.  The JCPA also helps to ensure public safety for motorists and pedestrians alike.   Since it was established as an autonomous agency in 1949, the cost of  daily operation is not borne by the taxpayers.

The Jersey City Parking Authority works diligently to provide an array of services that benefit the residents of Jersey City.  It is with pleasure that we  provide you the residents of Jersey City with this web site outlining the general operations of our agency and the services that the Jersey City Parking Authority offers. 

As you are aware the City of Jersey City continues to experience a significant increase of development and shows strong signs of economic growth.  It is our goal to address the ever increasing demand for residential parking throughout the city.  If you have any comments regarding the Jersey City Parking Authority or require more information,   please contact us at (201)653-6969 between 9AM and 5PM, Monday through Friday.  When you call wait for the prompts. 

If you have some concerns regarding issues that are directly the responsibility of the Jersey City Parking Authority you can call our special complaint line at extension 100 or 114.  The offices are closed on holidays and weekends, but a dispatcher is on duty Saturdays from 9AM to 5PM to respond to any parking inquires.
